Guiding Hand now has online scheduling for your convenience. Please use the tab below to access the scheduling window and book an appointment.

Additionally I will be expanding my work hours as of early 2015. My days have been filling to capacity so it’s time to add some more days in the clinic! I’ll update both the site and the scheduling page as soon as the changes take place. Don’t worry! Rates will stay the same.

Thank you for all your business and support. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of your path to greater health and well-being.

Anatomy of the Treatment Session

  • Intake – Your first sessions intake can take up to 20 minutes. Please take this additional time into account when booking your initial treatment. (Expedite this process by filling out your intake ahead of time! Follow me!) The average intake thereafter is 5 – 10 minutes.
  • Overview of Treatment Plan – Let’s talk about what we’ll be doing today.
  • Treatment – Get to work!
  • Assessment – This can be done a number of different ways depending on the circumstances. We may run through a series of range of motion exercises or simply have you stand and assess any changes in how you wear your body. Checking in with changes from the work is a great way to assess how well our approach is working and leave you feeling like your time was well spend.
  • Wrap Up – I like to close the session with a brief conversation and allow you a couple minutes to get re-grounded before you head out the door.

Additional Treatment Options

Please note that there are many ways we can customize our treatment time to work for your needs. In addition to body work I offer my clients the following:

  • Postural assessment & imaging – My notes almost always include a general postural assessment, however, it may be appropriate to take that a step further in some cases. If structural disfunction is your primary concern you have the option of doing more in-depth assessments utilizing posture and gait assessment, detailed charting and process photographs to help assess initial areas of imbalance and document our progress moving forward.
  • Exercise & movement therapy – Take home sets of exercises, stretches and therapeutic movement which can bolster your treatment gains and empower you to continue the work we do together on your own. We will custom design packages of material for you to incorporate into your private practice paying attention to proper physical alignment and execution. The added benefits of treatment combined with this type of work are not to be underestimated. There is no better way to bring your body back to a strong, balanced position.
  • Qi Gong – Interested in developing a practice of your own? Learn a system of gong fu to help improve and regulate qiA qi gong practice can be a great tool to maintaining a healthier, happier, more energetic you.
